WATER FACILITIES MASTER PLAN FOR THE GOVERNORATE OF GAZA

Project Description

The rapidly increasing demand and the limited water resources is a major challenge in Gaza, which depends mainly on municipal wells. The water crises in Gaza stipulated the need of new water facility master planning for the Gaza Governorate. The Palestinian Water Authority (PWA) in conjunction with PMU-Finland Project and the four municipalities in Gaza Governorate are planning to utilize the proposed water resources through a new master plan up to year 2025. Targets years in this master plan are 2010, 2015, 2020, and 2025.
A 3-year investment plan (2007-2010) including the required development interventions will be one of the project outcomes.
